Festival Adjudicators


Danielle Gardner is an established dancer, mentor and award winning choreographer from Vancouver BC. Bringing her love of physical art to the forefront, she has dedicated her life to teaching young minds to unleash their creativity.

She originally became a recognizable figure in dance as a contestant onCTV's SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA Season 3, placing in the top 3 girls. Her experience on the TV show was a stepping-stone to her career and shaped her into the entrepreneur she is today.

Danielle has worked with top entertainment companies Matel, CTV, ABCand Disneyin TV and Film projects over the past decade. She had the pleasure to be featured along side Flash Dance's Jennifer Beal and All Star dancer Robert Roldan playing the character (Meaghan) on the hit show “MOTIVE". Past credits: Shadow State, Romantic Child, Iredescence, Centre Stage, Toy story and Lilo & Stitch.

She has travelled throughout Canada the United States, South Asia, Europe and Panama City teaching, choreographing & judging. Danielle was the Head Choreographer of Team CanadaWestfrom 2011-2017. Being a former World Champion Winner in Oslo, Norway made her the perfect candidate for this roll. She has taken over 800 kids to Frankfurt Germany and Poland to compete at the IDO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS where they won the World Championship title multiple times. Danielle is elated to be working with World Performers Canada this year as there West Coast Jazz & Contemporary choreographer. Her works will be performed in Portugal this summer!

Danielle has had the pleasure of adjudicating for the past decade all over the globe.
It is a passion of Danielle's to create positive environments for young artists to shine and judging is the perfect platform. Competitions include: Surrey Festival Of The Arts, Star Talent, Thunder Struck,CNDC, Summit Dance Challenge, Manitoba Festival of the Arts,Phoenix Dance Competition, Just Dance Challenge, 5678 Showtime and Danza Active Finals in Panama.

If that wasn’t enough Danielle is also the Creative Director of West Coast Choreo Lab. An exclusive invite only intensive that takes place once a year for Emerging Artists focusing on unleashing creativity. Danielle is a career driven young women continuously striving to expand her artistic capabilities as well as enrich the lives of others through dance.


Originating from Windsor, Ontario, Katie Chartrand is a choreographer who prides herself on her ability to take you on a journey through movement. In 2013 Katie obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dance from Wayne State University where she became Assistant director andchoreographer to “CompanyOne”. She has worked with music artists Marianas Trench and Marlae choreographing the music videos “I Knew You When”, “Heartache” and “Better”.
Katie has also choreographed an 80’s dance based commercial for Hootesuite. She is a Six year faculty member of Brighton Dance Festival, 4 year returning choreographer for the Source Dance Company and has adjudicated for Shine Dance Festival and Phoenix Dance Competition. Katie has been a guest choreographer and instructor for dance intensives such as Team Canada, Sarah-Brewer Clowes’, ACT student intensive, Wayne State University, andBCDEA Dance Educators Conference. Katie choreographed the 2017 Top 10 Emerging Artists dance concept video for Shine Dance Festival “Just be You” and has directed and
choreographed several concept videos of her own. Katie’s choreography continues to find a voice in the industry and pushes her dancers to become movers with authentic intention.
